Biography

Dream For Your Country:

I dream of a South Africa where the spirit of Ubuntu is really seen in our healthcare system and is used in all parts of society, to make a nation of peace and harmony. This means we build a society where we care for each other, being able to put ourselves in other people’s shoes and knowing we are all human and connected, and working together to sort out problems peacefully. As someone going into healthcare, I think it’s our responsibility to change how people think about healthcare workers, to make a “new” kind of person who really cares and who tries to find the real reason for health problems, which isn't always just 'biological' but can also be psychological and societal. By fixing the real reason for our challenges that can show up as sickness, we heal the whole person and help heal the whole nation and bring back humanity to healthcare.
